SMYRNA

a daughter of Theias and Oreithya, or of Cinyras and Cenchreis: she is also called Myrrhe, and is said to have given the name to the town of Smyrna. (Apollodorus iii. Metamorphoses by Ovid X). Strabo (xiv. p. 633) mentions an Amazon who bore the same name.
